- Frequently Asked Questions -

You asked! We answered!! This page answers many of the questions from the interest checks. If you have further questions, please direct them to our Tumblr ask box.

Are there specific requirements for the art pieces?

Yes! You can find medium and format requirements under the rules tab.

Where are the profits going?

The mods are currently looking for a charity to donate the proceeds of the Zine.
We will announce the charity at a later date.

Will there be guest contributors?

Yes!! There will be guest artists and guest writers!! We will reveal those at a later date, but suffice to say that we are extremely excited about it!

Any themes?

Yes! As stated on the home page, the theme of the zine is camaraderie of the clones, and we aim to celebrate that and the joy and amazingness that the clones have brought us all as Star Wars fans.

Are romantic relationships allowed in the zine?

No romantic relationships, implied or explicit, will be depicted in this zine. We will be focusing on platonic relationships between the clones.

Is the zine NSFW or SFW? What content ratings are allowed?

The zine itself and all merch will be strictly safe for work. Content must be appropriate for teen audiences, and will be light on the angst since we aim to celebrate the clones. We will also be putting together an NSFW add-on to the zine. This will be available for purchase as a PDF to customers who are 18 or older. You can find more info on this in the add-on tab.

How many contributors will be particpating?

Currently, we are looking at 35 artists and 5 writers in addition to hopefully 7 guest artists and 3 guest writers to contribute to the main zine. We will also be looking for merch artists, and a flexible number of page artists for the NSFW add-on based on interest.

How will the zine handle fandom discourse?

Fandom discourse will be left at the door. Discussion of discourse topics, character bashing, and shipping will not be allowed in zine spaces such as the Discord server. This is a large zine, which will inevitably involve cooperation between people with differing viewpoints, and you should treat it like any other professional project. Any participant found to be harassing, slandering, or behaving rudely towards other participants either in private or on social media will be removed from the project. If you are not comfortable interacting with other participants or wider fandom, you are not required to join the server and may opt to receive updates by email or DM.

What are the zine's policies on anti-racism?

We are dedicated to creating a zine that does not perpetuate the whitewashing of characters represented by actors of colour. As such, we ask that artists keep in mind the appearance of Temuera Morrison as Jango Fett and other clones when drawing their characters, and be mindful of changes such as significantly lightening their skin, straightening their hair, etc.

How much can an artist or writer contribute?

Zines are always short on space for all the people wanting to participate, but we have some basic guidelines for any hopeful contributors!Artists will contribute one piece of page art, and may later contribute to merch.
Writers will contribute one piece of writing.
Each of these pieces will follow the guidelines dictated.
There may be the potential for artists and writers to team up (an artist illustrating a fic or vice versa). This will depend on interest during the concept submission phase. If you choose to team up, you will still only be permitted one piece.

What is the timeline of the Zine? What clones can be featured?

The interest check came back with an astounding 87.5% invested in ALL the clones appearing in the zine! This means that both Legends and Canon clones will be featured! This includes anything from when the clones first showed up, all the way through to the last clone surviving. Yes, that includes the Bad Batch, sequel trilogy clone canon, and Legends such as the Republic Commando video games, comics, and books!Unfortunately, we will not be accepting any submissions for OC clones. We love those clones too, but we can't incorporate them as well, so Legends and Canon clones only!Fanon Representations
There are some clones that don't have canon phyiscal or personality traits. Fanon interpretation is allowed to encourage creativity so long as it stays within the established rules.

Will we ship internationally?

Yes! Barring any shipping restrictions due to COVID, war, etc. we will be shipping worldwide, with the exception of Germany due to a new packaging law.

When will the zine come out? How long will it take to make?

While we cannot yet provide a final answer, we do have a tentative schedule and intend to get orders sent out in time for Christmas/New Years.
We'll update this with the schedule when we have the details ironed out!

When do applications open up?

All applications open up on June 10th and run until the June 26th
You can find the applications links on the application page.

Will the contributors be paid?

No contributors or mods will be paid, this is all volunteer work! The net profits will go to a charity that we will reveal at a later date.
